The 3/16" Swing Door comes with an applied handle while the 1/4" Door comes with a 6" through the glass
back-to-back pull. The 3/16" and 1/4" doors can fit 26" to 36" wide openings.
3/8" and 1/2" Heavy Glass Swing Door Only
The 3/8" and 1/2" Swing Doors come with 2 heavy glass Hinges (maybe 3 for large doors) and can fit
openings between 24" to 36". An aluminum strike is typically used for the door to swing shut against and create
a tight seal. Some people prefer no strike and the door can swing in and out. A 6" or 8" back-to-back pull comes standard.

This 1/2" Satin Etch Door has no Strike and Swings in and out. It is floor to ceiling (30" x 90") and obscures the
toilet behind.
Door and Inline Panel (CDI & HG180)
When there is a straight opening into the shower wider than 36", a door and fixed inline panel is required.
Even on openings less than 36" a door and panel may be required as there may be obstructions that won't allow
for a large door. Oftentimes, the inline panel will need to be notched to sit on a seat, tub or countertop.

Here is a Heavy Glass Door and Notched Panel. On large openings where the fixed panel exceeds 20 square feet, a
1/2" thick fixed panel may be desired to reduce wobble when the door shuts against the panel.
Corner Shower Enclosure (CDI90 & HG90)
A corner shower enclosure includes a Door and Inline Panel plus a 90 degree return panel.

See View Headerless Enclosure
Usually when a heavy glass door hinges from a fixed panel as opposed to a wall, a header is required unless the
fixed panel goes to the ceiling for support. However, if we use 1/2" glass on the fixed panel along with special heavy duty clips
and the panel and door are not to large, we can install the "See View".
Criteria that must be met for this type of enclosure:
1) Must use 1/2" glass on the fixed panel from which the door hinges
2) Fixed Panel cannot exceed 22" in width and 84" in height
3) Door cannot exceed 30" in width
4) Fixed Panel must have bottom support

Neo Angle Shower Enclosures
A Neo Angle Shower Enclosure is a fairly common configuration where a door is typically centered between 2 fixed panels
at a 135 degree angle. Insight Glass provides and installs these enclosures in all glass thicknesses (3/16, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2).
These enclosures can also be installed without a header ("See View" style) if they meet the See View requirements noted above.

The shower configurations described above are the most common but there are countless variations to these configurations.
